Saw a tweet from Seamus Dever the other day asking if anybody had a pic of the interview with him that was in the Flint Journal recently.

I swear to you, I had to read that one again to make sure I'd read it properly. Because the Flint Journal is the newspaper I always got, until I moved out of my parents' house. And I was like, "wait, he's in my newspaper?" Hadn't realized he was from Flint. (I'm from...let's just say my hometown is one of the nicer suburbs. Not a heck of a lot to do there, unless you're a really big fan of church, but less chance of getting shot if you're out at night.) So it was a bit weird. And kind of awesome. (The school where his mother got her master's degree? Yeah, that's where I went to college. And the Halo Burger he mentions at the end of the interview? Pretty sure I've eaten there, if it's the one I'm thinking of. He says it's downtown, so I'm assuming it's the one on Saginaw St.)

Yeahh. Highway driving sucks. I don't honestly like going that fast (at least, not when I'm behind the wheel. Speed doesn't scare me quite as much when someone else is driving), and the way other people drive is terrifying. That's the main reason I hate highway driving (well, and driving in general, really); it would be okay if there weren't any other people on the road. (Case in point: 75 isn't too bad once you get an hour or so north of Bay City. I actually don't mind driving it up there. Gets a bit sketchy again when you get in close to Gaylord, but there's a good hour or two where there's hardly anybody else on the road)

I'm okay when my friend Rachel, Tina, and my mom and brother drive, but after that, people scare the fuck out of me.

I also much prefer back roads period, I would rather spend the time and gas going that way then any other.

I prefer the back roads too. When I was driving in to Flint every day for college, I always took Court St or Davison Rd in to the university, even though taking 69 would've been faster.
