Challenge for tvrealm: illustrate the tropes of a tv show. I picked Warehouse 13. And no, this is not an exhaustive list of the tropes in the show, just the ones I felt I could easily illustrate. XD
I am THOROUGHLY CONVINCED that Artie and MacPherson were totally an item way back when. And they had a really bad breakup. I mean, LOOK at the way they're looking at each other in MacPherson's death scene. XD

I didn't know this trope existed, and I'm pretty sure I will be using it in my entry for this challenge now, since antagonistic, secretly-admiring relationships are my FAVORITE.
I've never actually talked about it with anybody! Mainly because I just watched all of WH13 this past fall, so of course my reactions from seasons 1 and 2 are years behind everyone else XD But I've pointed it out to my husband while watching. (He just smiles and nods like I'm a crazy person, lol)
It's not a trope I'd ever given much THOUGHT to before, but I've supported a couple Foe Yay ships over the years. Well. Harry/Draco, anyway. XD (Potter was my first fandom. Never wrote anything for it, but read a LOT of fic, way back before the fourth book even came out. Oh man was most of it bad XD ) And of course Artie/MacPherson is PRACTICALLY CANON. I mean. MacPherson's comment about "you always hurt the ones you love" or whatever the exact phrasing was? Yeah.
Now I'm trying to think if I've been into any other Foe Yay pairings, lol. (Most of my ships tend to be more of the "best friends that have no concept of each other's personal space are TOTALLY SLEEPING TOGETHER OFFSCREEN" type...) I guess Jayne/River is kind of Foe Yay? Ish?
Hahaha, it's probably for the best. We ended up making up a western AU that I still can't entirely get out of my head. XD

I have a lot! I think because that's how I relate to people I like. I don't intend for things to become pissing contests, but by trying to show off how smart/funny/clever/etc I am, it just happens. So when I see the foe yay stuff, it's like, 'Oh, that's how I act when I like someone. THEY MUST BE IN LOVE.'
Ohh, THAT SCENE. It kind of makes me smile and cringe all at the same time. (Um. The cringing is mostly due to the fact that apparently I can't mentally deal with the idea of Artie in bondage. *twitch*)
Heh! See, I think I go for the "best friends" ships for kind of the same reason...I was good friends with my hubby for a couple years before we even started dating, so yeah. I guess I like ships that mirror how my life happened, or something. XD
(Also. WHY are we not friends? We seem to share ALL THE FANDOMS. Case in point, I just randomly came across a comment from you on an entry at castle_slash from like...2 eyars ago? XD I'm reading all the old entries in that comm because I need Ryan/Espo fic like burning right now, and looked at comments and went "...wait. I was just talking to her!")

You know, that's probably why. (I just started watching Castle about a month ago. And have already watched every episode that's aired, and am most of the way through season 2 in a rewatch already. Because I do that with shows, for whatever reason...as soon as I've finished with whatever's available, I immediately want to watch it AGAIN. I think it's because I always want MORE CONTENT FOREVER, so I rewatch the old stuff waiting for new stuff to come out. That and read as much fic as I can possibly find XD )
