Avengers RBB claims

Hey everyone! I dunno if I've talked about it much, but I'm participating in the Avengers Reverse Big Bang again this year.

The art claims post went up this morning. And while over half the art pieces have been claimed already, there are still ten pieces left unclaimed.

So if you're a writer who's got some time, why not check it out?

(My piece has already been claimed. But it would be fantastic to see every piece get claimed this year, because last year's RBB had a few pieces that nobody ended up claiming, and I felt super bad for them.

Plus, if everything is claimed, they'll probably open up a second round of claims, for anybody who missed the first round. And that would be kind of awesome.)

It's a clever twist...but I'm not 100% clear on exactly how author and artist are supposed to work together, or are we? Is that single image/prompt the sole contribution of the artist? I've read through the FAQs but I iz stoopid. :) I was surprised such a ripe prompt had not been chosen...so I'm wondering if I'm not "getting" something.

Anyway, a fandom I've never written in before. I rewatched "Thor" yesterday and renewed my appreciation for *clears throat* Tom.

Once claims are done, they'll post author/artist matchups and give you info about how to contact the artist you're working with. Usually then you and the artist will chat about what your story idea is and what they think about it and that sort of thing. How much the artist contributes to the author's story/idea will vary depending on the artist, and sometimes the artist will make a companion/bonus piece of art based on how the story turns out (though it's not a super frequent occurrence). And I think it's just that Loki-centric prompts tend not to go as quickly. I'm pretty sure that last year, Loki prompts made up about half of the prompts that didn't get claimed. Which actually strikes me as a little odd, now that I think about it, because it seems like much of fandom ~loves Loki.

But I think also part of the reason it hadn't been claimed yet is just because the RBB wasn't as well advertised as last year, so there just hasn't been as much participation overall.
