Finally watched the movie and am having ALL THE FEELINGS.

Okay, first and foremost, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO COULSON. I refuse to believe he's dead. We did not see the medical team pronounce him dead, all we have is Nick Fury's word on that. I fully believe that Coulson is actually in a medical bay somewhere, probably heavily sedated, but Fury saw an opportunity to make the team work together, and he took it. THIS IS MY HEADCANON, AND IS ALSO ABOUT THE ONLY THING PREVENTING ME FROM BREAKING UP WITH JOSS WHEDON RIGHT NOW. Because goddammit Whedon. I hadn't seen any spoilers, but I had a feeling from the start that this was going to happen. SADFACE.

(Did we even get a SINGLE SCENE with Clint and Coulson actually talking to each other? Ah well, this is why I have fic.)

I'm sure I'm one of the few people who didn't walk away from the movie shipping Clint/Natasha, but this has a LOT to do with the fact that I'm so firmly ensconced in Clint/Coulson that I came into the movie looking for evidence for my ship, lol. (I don't think there is a cellist. And, as somebody on Tumblr pointed out, CELLISTS HAVE BOWS. I'll just leave that here.) I could very easily read it as past Clint/Natasha, though. They clearly have a LOT of history.

So I hear that comic!Clint is full of snark. And I figured, since it's JOSS FUCKING WHEDON writing the movie, that we'd get some good snark. But having Clint be all...Loki-brained for half the movie meant that I was sorely deprived of the anticipated Clint Snarkton. *sigh* Aside from the whole Coulson situation, this is probably my biggest complaint about the whole movie.

Loved the whole, fixing the helicarrier during the battle thing. Except for the bits where Steve was leaping about between different parts of it and FALLING THE FUCK OFF OF THE HELICARRIER. But that's just a me thing - I have issues with watching scenes where people are very close to falling off high things. Had the same problem with the scene on the bridge at the end of the last Harry Potter movie. So that was kind of "augh, cover face!" for me.

Loved the Widow and Loki scene. I had a hunch she was playing him, and knew for sure when she turned her back to him.

Little things!
-"Flying monkeys"
"I understand that reference!" Aww, Steve, look how adorable you are.

-"[blah blah lots of complicated orders for the team]...Hulk!"
*look*
"Smash!"

-"...so that's what that does"

-"He's adopted"

-Loki: "[blah blah big fancy speech]"
Hulk: *SMASH* ...yeah, Loki, nice try.

-"scaly with big antlers. Do you have those here?"
"No, don't think so."

-Tony and Bruce geeking out in the lab. That scene made me really happy, actually.

-*destroys punching bag*
*picks up another punching bag*

-Black Widow. Everything about her. Just...Widow.

I...will probably have more thoughts later.

(I would appreciate people directing me to the good icons, now that I've actually seen the movie.)
