If I owned those shoes, I'd probably never take them off. So cute! (I'm weird in that I have much better balance in heels than in flats. I always know when I've hit my 'just enough' limit with alcohol because I start walking on tiptoe.)

I suck at wearing heels. Well, nice shoes in general (WHY on earth can they not make shoes that look nice AND are comfortable? This is, in fact, the reason I very rarely wear skirts. Well, besides the cute jean skirts I had in high school that looked okay with low-top Chucks XD ), but heels are worse because I'm frankly not that coordinated to begin with, and I'm honestly terrified I'm gonna fall off the damn things and break my ankle or something XD

I had to get good at them because I refused to wear flats for concerts and I've done a LOT of concerts. lol There are comfortable dress shoes, it just takes a little looking and the occasional gel insert. I've fucked up my ankle twice, both times while wearing sneakers. XD Meanwhile, I can run in four inch heels without a problem.

I can't even imagine running in heels. I would probably fall flat on my face within three steps.

Luckily, I don't have an awful lot of occasions that require me to dress up, so for the most part, not having much in the way of nice shoes isn't too big a problem. (Was interesting trying to find shoes for my wedding, though...)

I love the way heels *look*, I just can't wear them! It's kind of upsetting at times.

Long Renaissance-themed dress and ballet flats (by which I mean, actual ballet flats from the ballet shop downtown, lol. Which looked awesome but the lack of arch support KILLED by the end of the night, because I spent the entire reception dancing instead of being a good little bride and making small talk with all 200 guests...)

Ooo, love Renaissance-themed dresses. (I feel you there. I have weird arches, and can't wear flats for longer than about 20 minutes without feeling like they're falling. That would be why I refuse to wear them for 1-2 hour concerts. And it was your wedding. I say you can dance if you want to. :D)

Yup! This dress, in fact. (ETA: Me in the dress, if you were curious.) Whole wedding was Renaissance-themed, and it was a blast. And the dancing was awesome. I was...kind of specific about what kind of music the DJ could play, with the result that mine is the only wedding I've ever been to where nobody had to do the goddamn hokey-pokey.

(Yeah, most of the time if I'm wearing flats I use arch support Dr Scholl's-type inserts, but they don't really work in ballet shoes...)

Yeah, everything on that site is pretty damn amazing. And hey, I got a wedding dress for NOT SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS. Or whatever the hell they're charging for them these days. (Eh, I honestly kind of feel like I look better now? Because after getting married I moved to Chicago, and now I'm walking a lot more than I used to...perk of taking public transit. I lost like 30 pounds in the first year? *shrug*)

I don't know, honestly. But all wedding receptions (or, frankly, anything with dancing) I've ever been to have had that. And the Chicken Dance. And the goddamn Cha-Cha Slide. UGH. All of that stuff was absolutely BANNED at my reception; I have a serious objection to songs that have to tell you how to dance. *twitch*

(Okay, so I actually haven't been to that many weddings, frankly. But the point is, I hate all that shit. And was very disappointed when I went to my best friend's wedding and the first hour or so of dancing at her reception alternated between special dances for particular people (wedding party, dad-daughter, that kind of thing) and the hokey pokey crap. Which, really, wouldn't have been quite so terrible except that I had to leave early because the next day I needed to be on a train back to Chicago to make it back to school in time for finals, so I didn't get to dance much.)
