Mar. 16th, 2005 08:43 pmThis makes three times in the past week when I've sort of felt like I'm everyone's big sister all at once. It's kind of cool, I guess.
I felt all helpful and stuff, earlier. Like, a little helpless because I'm really bad at giving advice, but I was still really glad that I could be a help just by listening.
We went 3-0 at quiz bowl tonight, bringing our record overall to 21-3. That's exciting. Less exciting is the fact that Shane has not changed one bit in the 10 years that I've known the kid. He threw a hissy fit because Baysdell took him out to let Barkman play for the last half of our last match. *shakes head* It really is pathetic to see a senior in high school behaving like a 6-year-old.
My paper is now 4 and 1/4 pages long, about 1400 words. I just have to write a conclusion paragraph to it, and then I'll be done with it. Then all I'll have left to do is add stuff to my annotated bibliography and do the conference review thing. My conference is next Wednesday before school...and I'm happy because I'm so close to done already.
