band stuff
Mar. 19th, 2004 04:10 pmblah. I don't wanna go to festival tonight. we're gonna suck so bad...I'm frankly getting incredibly sick of orchestra, though that may just be based on the fact that I have to sit next to Brett Richardson during rehearsals and we never play any good music.
but hey, we get to work on LotR starting next week. that oughta be fun.
I amazingly have no homework outside of writing up a lab for chemistry. and by some miracle, I've gone 2 weekends in a row without having a paper due for any class. *does a happy dance*
this morning I woke up with "Daydream Believer" stuck in my head, and it's been there all day. good song. and it makes me happy, which is always good.

it's my yahoo radio thing and it's pretty sweet. it plays ska and jazz all the time. and showtunes and classical and all that great stuff. it makes me happy. and the variety is awesome...I mean, it went from Frank Sinatra to Duke Ellington to James Taylor to Cherry Poppin' Daddies.
I think it's...12 days until Orlando.
121 days until Wolverine!
we sight-read part of Pines of Rome today in band class...dear lord is that going to be miserable. there's a part that goes up to a B above the staff...I'll cry. I've played that note once in my entire life. it's so high that it gave me a headache just trying to hit it. one of the times I play it, my brain is just going to explode. it's going to be grand. but messy, and I pity whoever has to clean it up. and the poor trombones would be covered in brain matter. yum.
