We have a ridiculous amount of names for our cat, depending on our mood and how silly we're feeling. Her "offical" full name is Sophie Marie Cattington-Cattington, which came about thus: We both liked the name Sophie, so it stuck. One day when she was getting into stuff, my kneejerk reaction was to yell "Sophie Marie!" because everyone knows that the middle name comes out when you're really in trouble. I'm not 100% sure why Marie specifically (though it may have something to do with the fact that my sister's middle name is Marie...*shrug*) And at one point, Husband was referring to Sophie as "Catty Cattington," and we were watching Jeeves & Wooster at the time, so we decided that "Catty Cattington" sounds an awful lot like Bassington-Bassington, so that morphed into Cattington-Cattington.
...And that was a long story that you probably don't care too much about, sorry. XD
