you never realize what awesome people you know until you find the person that's willing to spend half an hour arguing with you about whether Spider-Man is better than Batman. (which, of course, he is, but that isn't the point)
yeah. my friends are awesome. they're all a little insane, but hey, I'm not complaining. makes it more fun that way.
so I definitely spent an hour writing in my real journal last night...sad thing is, all I wrote about was Heather's open house and nothing else, and it took up...4 and a half pages, I think.
how weird is it that writing is basically all I've been in the mood to do lately? I have a story I'm in the process of writing, and another that I've got an idea for but I haven't started yet, and I need to work on both of those. the only problem is, even though I'm in the mood to write, I'm not actually inspired. I think my muse died...
I'm also in the process of writing a letter, but I don't even know if I'm going to send it or not...
I should probably get my mellophone out and make sure it still works this weekend. I am so not looking forward to pre-camp at all this year. I dunno why either, I just really don't feel like going. but, unfortunately, I have to, because I'm section leader. rawr.
my sister got a new parakeet today. it's yellow. we think it's a girl, so we named her Chava. 10 points to anyone who can tell me where the name came from and why it's sort of funny/corny.
if you've ever watched my favourite musical, you'll understand.
ACT tomorrow, ugh. but then open houses! 4 of them! yeah, it'll be grand. my poor brother is getting dragged to Beth's because he wants to go to the other 3, and I'm not going to keep running home to get him and then drop him off again. he can just deal with it. but it should be fun nonetheless. wonder who else is going to Greg's bonfire...?
