God, I know! That's what I *wanted* to write! But I don't have the right brain for cop shows XD And, actually, part of it really is that I watch so many cop shows already that cop shows are my actor pool for much of my casting...and I don't want to cast people who already play cops on tv as cops in a show I write. (It feels like it's too easy? Or something...)
