Forrest Whitaker and Janeane Garofalo are the main reasons I keep watching. Because at least they have personalities (even if I can't remember their characters' names to save my life...)
Exactly. I wouldn't watch without them (and the glimpses of Garcia, of course). Janeane is Beth, I think. Can't remember Forest's character's name though. And Mick (the British guy) is semi interesting.
Oh, this part I loved- Garcia has a picture of her and JJ against her computer in the office in this episode of Suspect Behavior. It made me so happy to see.
Well yes, Garcia is the supreme motivator. And now I think about it, I actually do sort of know the characters' names (Forrest is...Sam, I think. And the other dude is Prophet). Except for the blonde woman (in my head, she's kind of a lot like Seaver: when she's off camera, I forget she even exists). I kind of don't really like Mick, but that has a lot to do with having not liked him in the crossover pilot.
I think I remember KV tweeting something about that picture being on her computer on set, so that's awesome that it's actually in the show. :)
Sam! That's his name! I ADORED Prophet in the cross-over pilot because I liked that he was an ex-con. That was my favorite part. And the blonde chick (name forgotten by me, too) I don't really care for at all. Beau Garrett is pretty but her character is interesting. (Oh, and Sam just called her Gina so there we go- that's her name). In the cross-over pilot I thought Mick was way too cocky. He seems a little LESS cocky on the show. (Mostly I just like listening to British accents. Other than that I'm iffy about him.)
I know, right? I thought that was the coolest thing to see. Yay for them showing it!
Baha, yeah, British accents are kind of awesome. But other than that I don't really like Mick all that much. *shrug*

And hooray for them showing that indeed! It's like continuity and stuff! (I'm a sucker for little bits of continuity like that. Particularly because I also watch things like CSI:NY, where characters completely disappear and are never heard from again...)
I haven't watched CSI: NY in a while. I've seen a few episodes but not a lot. I'm not even sure WHEN I stopped watching. I only know I stopped watching it all the time.
I still watch every week, but I'm not as into it as I used to be. Lindsay irritates me.
But seriously, where the HECK have some of these characters gone? I mean...Danny's brother from season 2? Hasn't even been MENTIONED. And considering the last time we saw him, he was comatose? You'd think somebody somewhere along the line would think to ask what happened to him.
And Flack's sister has disappeared just as thoroughly. And nobody ever mentions Aiden or Angell.
I liked Flack's sister, I'd like to know what happened to her.
And yeah, apparently once characters die, they just don't exist anymore.
(Is it really THAT HARD to mention characters that are gone? Clearly not, I mean...CM just talked about Gideon last week. Though they haven't mentioned Elle in a while...)
EXACTLY! Though I honestly don't know if Lola Glaudini would come back to the show even for one episode...I don't know much about the circumstances of her leaving the show, but I do know it was her choice to leave.

I noticed Aiden hasn't been mentioned in MANY seasons. And they stopped mentioning Angell very quickly.
