My favorite is actually Hotch on the phone, love the coloring aaand JJ being all happy <3

Thanks! (The main reason I interpreted it like that is because there are SO MANY instances of the team making "wow, you're a dumbass" faces, and very few of the team making actual stupid faces.)

I'm really happy with how the Hotch one came out. In general, my attempts at coloring icons are essentially, "hey, let's see what THIS button does!" and hope it turns out okay, so I get really excited when they come out nice sometimes.

I could make something without an interpretation and just go for your face is stupid but I don't want to offend anyone who's into the character and something else didn't come to my mind lol

oh that's pretty much how we all do it ;) Granted after a while everyone develops some sort of technique along the way but yeah it's pretty much how I did my icons and still do from time to time :)

Yeah, there's that consideration too.

Part of my thing with my icons is that I'm still such a beginner, there are things in the program that I REALLY don't understand how to use. Like color balance. And the channel mixer. And I feel like my stuff could be much better, except that I have no idea what I'm doing.

don't really use either, color balance or channel mixer. I know a few who do but overall I'm not even sure that's used all that much ;) But you'll learn along the way and find your own way of coloring

Ah, that's good to know. Those two things kind of intimidate me. XD Every time I open one of those options, I kind of go, "...but it's COMPLICATED! o.O" and close it again.

lol yeah they're fickle to work with and really don't work on every image anyway so you're not missing much there ;)
