So. I'm apparently watching Buffy now. I'm 5 episodes in, and I have this to say.

Dear Brain:

STOP. The show has given you multiple potential ships. Play with those, and stop throwing the severely awkward at me instead.

(Just because he's British does not make it okay. And he's not even that attractive. STOP.)

I totally have a crush on Giles...though not so much season1!Giles...and I did ship him with Buffy at one point but that didn't last too long. The age difference thing never really bothered me honestly...I just ship him with...others now. ;)

But I have quite a few ships in my many fandoms that make people go "How the hell did you ever even come up with that?" so...yeah.

Something about British guys, I tell ya.

I'm still only 3 seasons in, so totally still shipping them. And the age difference isn't bothering me so much now, just because I've rationalized it this way: he's in his 40s. Angel is 240 and also dead. So, Giles is actually the less creepy of the two.

(Also, I have come to the conclusion from watching both Buffy and Bones that I actually just have no desire whatsoever to watch David Boreanaz kiss anybody. Maybe I'm weird, I dunno, but I just don't understand the attraction.)

So who do you ship Giles with?

I was quite obsessed with David Boreanaz when I first started watching Buffy...when it first aired, of course. I got over that. lol

I usually ship Giles with Faith, Jenny, Ethan, or sometimes Willow. Or made ups.

Yeah, I didn't actually watch Buffy when it was first airing. My parents were...a bit strict on what tv they considered appropriate.

I can kinda understand Giles/Willow. Bookish people FTW! And Giles/Ethan is pretty obvious...the first time they were on screen together, my immediate reaction was "Ah. Ethan is Giles's ex. And it was a BAD breakup."

(Also. I need Buffy icons. Which means I need to freaking FINISH WATCHING BUFFY so I can look through old icon posts without being spoiled.)

I go for Giles as Ripper with...just about anyone as well. ;)

And I have a LOT of Buffy icons. Only like three Giles that I'm using right now, though. ;)

I have an icon problem. As in, about 5500 saved on my hard drive. And lists a mile long of icon communities that I need to backread and snag more good icons. So I will eventually have more Buffy icons than I will ever use, it's just an issue of actually watching enough of the show so I won't get spoiled looking at icons.

Yes...making my own icons does tend to make the collection much larger than it already was...and now I kinda want to go on an icon collecting spree again...damn it! ;)

Icon collecting is far too much fun. But then I have to sort through them to figure out which ones I actually want to upload, which is always a really hard decision.

Yeah, I keep doing that too. Problem is, I'm getting to the point where I have so many fandoms that I might only be able to have 1 or 2 icons per fandom if I want to represent them all, which means I'm going to have to go back and delete some of the ones I already have uploaded. Which sucks and I don't want to.

Also, right now I'm waiting to upload any more until I have good icons for some of my fandoms that I discovered more recently. Because right now I don't have any Buffy icons, and not a lot of Doctor Who icons either. So I want to go through and gather more of those before I actually upload anything more, so I can make sure those fandoms are represented. Because I'm weird like that.

haha! Weird, but I do that, too. I need to go through and change some of mine...I've just been lazy about doing that. And I've been making some of my own, but only for my current obsession, so...I need to decide. I don't want to delete some of the ones I have, either, but I want different and/or better ones...

Part of my problem with deleting icons is that I know I've used certain icons in certain comments, and referred to said icons in those comments, so I don't want to delete icons I've used because then it reverts to my default and the comment makes no sense anymore.
