Oh man...the mental image of Hotch doing a silly dance while vacuuming and listening to salsa music...wow. I might actually explode from the amusingness.
I just realized that I'm a moron...I think they would've been in high school in the early 1990s. But...it'd be more fun to write it in the 80s, yes?
The Criminal Minds Wiki says nothing about Morgan's music preferences. I have this vague idea that maybe they mentioned it in the books somewhere, but I don't actually own the books so I can't check. I can so see an embarrassed 18-year-old Morgan trying to get 14-year-old JJ to be quiet...oh man. So many entertaining mental images come out of this.
Stevie Wonder, definitely. Bon Jovi, yes. Um...crap, I hardly know any 80s bands. Not off the top of my head anyway. ...Ha, internet radio is playing Aerosmith right now. Maybe it's a sign?
Not only is Rossi outnumbered, but I think he probably doesn't argue too much about the jazz thing because he doesn't want to disrupt things too much. He's having a tough enough time getting the kids to accept him in the first place, may as well not make any more waves.
I'm stuck on the whole last names thing too. But I somehow don't see the kids calling each other by their last names...that's a bit too British private school, y'know. But I can see them, especially the older kids, referring to Rossi by his last name when they're mad at him or whatever. Because he's not REALLY their dad, so they don't feel that bad about just using his last name.
(Yes. Please continue along this line...I don't have anything else particularly relevant to add right now, lol.)
Would Rossi write crappy mystery novels, or would he be a true crime author? I can see either, really. Maybe he does both? I dunno, I suppose I can see him writing. Can't really think of anything else anyway. But thank goodness Hotch dresses him now...because really. Just because you have money does NOT give you the right to wear godawful clothes like that. And UGLY expensive jewelry too. (Maybe he brings the dog the first time he meets the family and JJ has a minor freakout, so he gives the dog to a friend or something? I don't see her liking dogs too much...and honestly, I don't think Reid would like big dogs much either. Not entirely sure why. He just seems more like a cat and/or small dog person. So maybe Rossi has someone else keep the dog and only takes the dog out when he goes hunting or somthing.)
