Ah, I'd forgotten about the canon yearbook thing. Been a while since I've watched the older episodes. But I definitely think you're right about her listening to hair bands. Rawr, Morgan, why are you so cryptic?!? Rossi and opera, yes. Definitely. Hotch might listen to like...easy listening stuff when he's baking cookies and cleaning the house (*snerk*), but he probably doesn't sit down and listen to music much...he's too busy raising all those kids!
Holy crap I just had a thought about Morgan...he probably steals JJ's Jackson Five album and listens to it in secret. But definitely won't admit it if anybody asks him. Other than that, though, I really have NO idea what he listens to. I need to look into that. Or something.
Yes to jazz being family music. I somehow think Rossi probably doesn't enjoy it as much as the rest of them do, though. And speaking of Rossi...they probably don't refer to him as "dad," do they? Cuz Gideon was Dad, so I'm assuming Rossi is just Dave to them.
Glad you like the other fic idea...I figured you'd probably be a LOT better at it than I would, that's why I mentioned it. You agree that Reid would end up back on the drugs? Because he said that watching that kid get shot almost sent him back to it...so I imagine that being the one to DISCOVER Gideon dead in his cabin would definitely send him over the edge.

Hotch is definitely a lawyer, and I can totally see Gideon as a professor. I do wonder what Rossi does...besides hunt, anyway (speaking of hunting...he has a dog in canon, does he have a dog in our universe? And how insane would things get throwing a dog into the mix of kids? XD ). Rawr, must think about what Rossi does.
Something I've been thinking about though...if Hotch and Gideon are the parents...are they actually gay, or is this a marriage of convenience because they were like...good friends who thought it was a good idea to foster some kids or something? Random thought, possibly not something that needs to be addressed immediately.
Another thought I had was in regards to Haley and Jack, because they're kinda like important characters in the series. Obviously Hotch isn't married to Haley...but then I remembered, Hotch has a brother. So maybe Haley and Jack are Hotch's sister-in-law and nephew? That way we don't have to just completely ignore them.
There has been much thinking lately, apparently, as I just remembered another thought. If this actually ends up turning into a fic, it should totally start out with somebody shouting, "MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!" Because that would be entertaining.
