Okay, so. Apparently my husband and I are ridiculous. Okay, we knew that already, but we've reached new levels of ridiculous just now. I was petting the cat, and she was purring. So I said something about the cat buzzing. And then Bry made some comment about her also being fuzzy.

So now, apparently, we're calling her Fuzzy Buzzy Beastington.

I'm not sure what it is about cats that gives them the ability to reduce normally sane people to babbling about "Fuzzy Buzzy was a cat!" (This is besides the part where we frequently feel the need to inform her, "Cat! You are a cat!")

Bry and I went to see Les Mis today, and it was pretty freakin' awesome. LOVED their Eponine.

Also, NONE of the lower-class characters spoke in a Cockney accent, which I thought was pretty impressive, considering the track record. Clearly, the director of this production understands that France =/= England.

Also, never before have I been in a situation where we needed to have traffic directors in the restroom.

Went out for Indian food afterwards. Found a restaurant that's got tasty food at reasonable prices, and isn't too far from home either, so that was nice.

For the record, I had mango kulfi (basically, Indian ice cream) for dessert. And had to cut it with a knife, because every time I tried to get a bite-sized piece with my spoon, I ended up flinging it across the table. Too frozen.

Been a good day.

Apparently it's not just me. Husband went grocery shopping today, and in addition to all the stuff he normally gets, he also brought home a box of chocolate chip cookies.

Bry just told me that there was a guy in his "teaching reading in high school" class who readily admitted that he hadn't read a book in six years.

1. Please consider a different career.

2. HOW?!!?!?!? The idea of going 6 years without reading a book is confusing. Not to mention supremely disturbing. WTF.

So, theoretically, we have a place to live in Chicago. Just waiting to see if we've been accepted or not.

Also. Cake is ordered. Rings are ordered. Flowers are ordered. Registry is pretty much done, as far as we can tell. PROGRESS.

Onward to Chicago! Bry and I are going apartment hunting, leaving EARLY tomorrow, and coming home late Saturday night. Woo!

"Mmm, appendix in a dress. I'm not sure if that's creepy, funny, or a good band name."

Long walks in the rain?

Shopping yesterday. Much poorer now, but got some good loot:

New laptop! Shiny, with lovely clicky keys. Vista remains a POS, but at least I had an install disc for Office 2003 so I don't have to deal with shitty Office 2007.

And I found giftcards from last Christmas in my wallet, enabling me to get 4 CDs for 10 bucks:

Regina Spektor - Begin to Hope
Within Temptation - Mother Earth
- The Silent Force
- The Heart of Everything

Spent New Year's Eve with Bry...we watched WALL-E and Eagle Eye, which were both good. WALL-E was a lot better than in point, there was a spork.

I have to go back to school on Tuesday. DO NOT WANT.

end of semester = 31 days. *happydance*

Things to do before then:
Grad school apps (due Dec 1, Dec 15, and Jan 15)
History paper (due Dec 8)...I should probably actually start this soon.
Keep up with biochem (blargh!)
Biostats exam today
One more biostats exam sometime
Biochem exam Dec 5
2 more discussion board assignments for history
2 more terms assignments for history
2 more quizzes for history

...and I'm currently being laughed at for typing "meep." Damn you. XD

*shrug* Apparently flavor is being added to my journal.

Welcome to LJ stream-of-consciousness with Bry looking over my shoulder. Blame him for any insanity that may result from reading this post.

Yup. I may possibly want to actually study for my biostats exam that's today. Maybe not though.

Either way. Getting off LJ is probably a good start to succeeding at school XD

So I'm engaged...

so...Bry is currently eating French onion soup...and I just had to say "would you stop poking your soup please?"

...not something you have to say every day, that's for sure.

today I discovered that Bry on chocolate is like normal people on crack. made for an entertaining evening.

and I'm so tired right now that I can barely type straight. so time for me to go sleep.

whee, today is 2 and a half years for me and Bry. yay!

according to my ecology teacher, the chances of winning the lottery are 1 in a ga-billion. Yes, that would be the technical term.

Bry determined today that the reason stupid people gather together is because they're so dense that they create their own gravitational field.

happy clam! (yeah, don't ask, long story)

in other news, when Bry came to pick me up yesterday, the first words out of his mouth were, "You smell pretty." No "hi," no "how's it going" or anything. It made me giggle a lot. Yesterday was a silly day. But a lot of fun nonetheless.

And now, back to reading for college. Because all of my classes are actually requiring that we read the books this semester. So I've got a lot of reading to do.

wee, finally got my hair trimmed, which I've been meaning to do for a couple months now...yeah, I know, I'm bad about that kind of stuff.

also was thinking about getting red highlights done, but decided to vote no on that when I found out that it would cost 80 bucks. which is too bad, cuz I think it would look decent. *shrug* oh well

found out today that I got an A in chem lab, which makes me happy, cuz that's one of the classes I was actually worried about. don't know the rest of my grades for sure except for bio, in which I've got somewhere upwards of 100%, but I'm too lazy to figure out the exact percentage right now.

Bry and I are having our Christmas thing on Saturday, I'm all excited. Especially since he keeps making vague comments about what he got me, so I'm all excited and curious. And I know he's gonna like what I got him, can't wait to give it to him. Though I should probably actually wrap it eventually, lol. That might be a good idea.

Disappointed cuz Justin and Jon can't make it to my party...but I can't really change the date now, invites have already been sent out and stuff. But Brassie will be coming, which is pretty cool cuz I haven't seen her in a couple years. And I really hope Kirsten can come, I haven't seen her in absolutely ages. Yeah, I'm getting excited about this party.

Hmm, that's all I've got for now.

Bry has a job! Yay! I'm so excited for him.
